Arne - Founder & Technisch brein achter NailSkillz
Mijn reis begon in 2019 niet in een nagelsalon, maar met een diploma autotechnologie. Terwijl ik in een garage werkte, startte mijn zus Charlien (van nagelstudio Chanail) met de import van Mistero Milano voor de Benelux. Ze had hulp nodig en al snel merkte ik dat mijn passie bij e-commerce en techniek lag. We bouwden samen een succesvol distributiemodel op.
Tijdens de lockdowns in de coronaperiode kwam alles stil te liggen. Dit gaf mij de tijd om de markt écht te analyseren. Ik zag twee grote problemen: een wildgroei aan slechte (YouTube) opleidingen en een enorme toename van nagelallergieën. Het werd mijn missie om hier iets aan te doen.
Zo ontstond NailSkillz: een platform waar betrouwbare, veilige producten (zoals Saeyang en Afinia, waar we hoofdimporteur van zijn) en vakkennis samenkomen. Terwijl onze topinstructeurs jou de praktijk leren, focus ik me op de theorie en de techniek. Mijn technische achtergrond krijgt binnenkort nog meer de ruimte met de lancering van Glosz in 2027: een eigen merk in professionele, betaalbare salonapparatuur.

Looking for professional nail products, we ended up with Mistero Milano!In 2019, we officially started our partnership as the importer of their products for the entire Benelux region.
COVID-19
And there it is...
You surely remember what happened in 2020. The emergence of Covid-19 led to global lockdowns and situations we could never have predicted. Nail salons had to close their doors and visiting family or friends was no longer allowed – something that affected us all deeply.
